Self-employment and VAT
You will need to register as self-employed with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). If you expect your business turnover to be more than £68,000 a year you will also need to register for VAT.

It is also recommended that professional advice is sought from an accountant or bank at an early stage.
Planning permission, licenses and business rates
