Educational buildings

There are many training opportunities for  individuals to expand their vocational education.  The following organisations offer a range of training opportunities for businesses.

Guildford Borough Council
Our Environmental Health service offers training courses in both food hygiene and health and safety.

Guildford College
The college offers a range of courses aimed specifically at employers.  Guildford College (this page opens in a new window) offers short courses covering a range of industries and holds 12 food hygiene courses a year.

Workskills Plus
Workskillsplus.co.uk (this page opens in a new window) is essentially a huge directory of information on training, learning and skills development for employees at all levels.   It contains information on qualifications, funding, work-based learning and e-learning, as well as hundreds of links to training providers, colleges and courses. 

Surrey Learning & Skills Council
Surrey Learning and Skills Council works with partner organisations in the county to involve more people in learning, future improve levels of achievement and ensure that people of all ages have the right range of opportunities and help with making the right choices.

Surrey Learning and Skills Council also develops local workforce development plans.  These guide local action to encourage employers, particularly small firms, to invest in developing their workforce and promote the business benefits of this, including recognition through the Investors in People Standard (this page opens in a new window)
