From 1 April 2008 all bus permit-holders will be entitled to free off-peak travel throughout England.
How do I get a new the new bus permit entitling me to free off-peak travel throughout England?
Existing permit-holders
All senior citizens, who currently have a permit, should have received a letter, advising them of the change, from the Council. The letter requests that a photograph is supplied for security purposes.
If you currently have a permit and have not received a letter, please contact the Bus Permits team via the details provided on this page.
Once we have received your photo your new permit will be posted to your home address towards the end of March 2008.
I have never had a bus permit before and would like to apply for the new national scheme
