Free bus permits, which currently entitle holders to free travel in England, are available to Guildford’s senior citizens and many disabled persons.

Alternatively you can contact the Bus Permits team using the contact details displayed at the bottom of this page, or call in person at the cash office in the Council offices at Millmead House during the following hours:
9am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
9am to 4pm on Friday
In order to obtain a bus permit, you will be required to show one of the following documents in order to provide proof of entitlement:
Senior Citizens
- Pension book
- Pension card
- Pension letter
- Driving licence
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Medical card
Disabled persons
- A letter from Social Services
- Doctor’s letter
- Copy of Blue Badge
- Surrey Adult Linked Disability Registers card (SALDR)
- Surrey Association for Visual Impairment card (SAVI)
- Certificate of Eligibility [PDF] (21k) (which must be completed by a qualified professional as stated on the Certificate)
