If you asked most residents what their priorities were for the place they live, they would say they wanted it to be clean, safe and green. So do we.
Our front-line staff are working to make our area cleaner, safer and greener. Whether:
- it’s a street cleaner going out, before most of us leave home, to clean every our streets every morning
- a community safety warden, working with the police and residents to help reduce crime
- our special gum and graffiti removal team,
or
- a parks attendant, keeping our parks beautiful or helping an elderly people to keep their garden tidy.
These are just some of the team who are working to make our area an even better place to live every working day. Hear about the work of our front line staff in interviews by BBC Southern Counties Radio.
Helping us spread the word
Our front-line staff take pride in the work they do. They are also helping us to encourage local people to also help to keep Guildford clean, safe and green. They are taking centre stage in a publicity campaign which promotes how local people can help make Guildford a cleaner, safer, greener place. Watch out for posters around the locality featuring Dolly, Brian and Bob.

You can play your part too.

Joining forces
There are lots of organisations involved in keeping your area clean, safe and green. This might include the local police, borough councils, and county council. To be really efficient, we need to work in a more joined up way. Our Cleaner Safer Greener Greener campaign is doing just that through a partnership of Guildford and Waverley’s Local Strategic Partnerships.
To promote Cleaner, Safer, Greener we are working in partnership with BBC Southern Counties Radio 104 & 104.6fm. Tune in and listen to our staff out at work in features throughout the year or listen to them now on our pages.
