Emergency sandbags

The council offers a voluntary sandbag service to residential properties in times of emergency, this involves delivery to those residents who cannot collect them.  As this is a voluntary service we cannot always guarantee delivery.

If you would like to take extra measures to protect your home from flooding the Environment Agency website (this page opens in a new window) offers advise about alternative preparations and gives details on flood boards and other products.

If there is a serious risk of flooding to your home you can collect sandbags from our main store at Woking Road Depot by calling the Sandbag Hotline.  The depot is off the A320 near Stoke Crossroads in Guildford.
