The council is currently offering interest free renewable energy technology loans of up to £3,000. This is to help homeowners install:
Planning permission is required for some installations.
The interest free loan, which is repayable over 5 years, is not means-tested. You can apply for the loan in addition to the Government's Low Carbons Buildings Programme (see below). A list of approved installers is available from the Low Carbons Buildings Programme (please see below).

The low carbon buildings programme
The low carbon buildings programme currently offers grants for householders who would like to install renewable micro-generation technologies. To qualify you have to:

complete the energy efficiency measures required by the programme,

obtain planning permission for your installation if necessary

and obtain a quote from an accredited installer.
