TSA code of practice accredited
Guildford Borough Council’s Emergency Communications Service currently holds accreditation under the TSA (Telecare Services Association) Code of Practice, part one and part two.

Confidentiality assured to clients – Data protection
The control centre operates under the Data Protection Act. Strict access controls are in place and all visitors must sign the Confidentiality Agreement before entering the Control Room.
Close liaison with emergency services
The operational staff and managers meet regularly with emergency service personnel sharing information to ensure the best response for all situations.
Special needs of clients are always catered for
All clients are treated with the same courtesy. Special needs, including speech and sight impediments and also hearing difficulties and other disabilities can be addressed. The control centre also uses the services of Language Line to assist clients whose first language is not English.
Visitors are welcome by appointment on weekdays
All visitors to CECS must sign in and out of the building and will only gain admittance with advance notice, including clients and engineers.
