On Tuesday 20 November, 400 soldiers and a military band from the 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment (The Vikings) marched through Guildford's town centre in a special homecoming parade, organised by Guildford Borough Council. The public were able to watch the event from the High Street and North Street to welcome the troops home from a six-month tour of duty in Afghanistan.
