We aim to respond promptly to you when you ask us to reply and achieve the following standards.
- By phone
It saves time if you go straight to the service you need using the A-Z telephone contacts. If you are not sure which number to ring, phone our switchboard on 01483 505050 between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Thursday, and between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Fridays.
- Phone messages
We should acknowledge these by the end of the next working day. When we can't reply fully straight away, we aim to give a fuller reply or an update within 10 working days.
- By email, fax or letter
We should acknowledge these within three working days. When we can't reply fully straight away, we aim to give a fuller reply or an update within 10 working days.
- In person
We cannot always answer your question fully straight away. When this is the case we aim to give you an update or a fuller reply within 10 working days of meeting you. It is often better to make an appointment before you visit to make sure that the person you want to see will be in when you call.
When we are away
If you contact us by email or phone we will use answer phone or email messages, when appropriate, to tell you how long we are away for, and whom you can contact instead if your enquiry is urgent.
