We have been judged by the Audit Commission as an ‘Excellent’ council with an ability to definitely improve.  This is the highest level that can be achieved and inevitably, the council has now been cited as a best practice case study.

Appropriate measures of corporate performance have been established to ensure that we continue to target and achieve improvement on a consistent basis.  In particular, a heavy focus is placed upon outcomes, real-time plans and strategic targets.  The following links will provide a flavour of the methodology that this council is using to measure improvement as well as to show the level of achievement.
