The Mayor officially starts the Guildfordians Minis Rugby Festival at Stoke Park, Guildford, by blowing the first whistle to start the first match for the youngest age group (under 7’s).

The Mayor attends a Governors’ Board Meeting at Abbots’ Hospital.

The Mayor meets with Madi Benson (Chair), Alex Deung and Danny Muggleton of the Guildford Youth Council for a pre-meeting in the Mayor’s Parlour.

The Mayor attends the Guildford Youth Council meeting in Committee Room 2 at the Council Offices.

The Mayor and Consort join the Mayors and Chairmen of Surrey for a Civic Reception at the Surrey National Golf Club, Chaldon; by invitation of the Chairman of Tandridge, Councillor Mrs Glynis Whittle.

The Mayor hosts a special reception at the Guildhall to thank the Chairman and Clerks of Guildford’s 23 Parish Councils for their hard work and commitment throughout the year. During the evening guests will attend two presentations, ‘Future Challenges for the Council’ with David Hill, Guildford Borough Council’s Chief Executive and ‘Planning Matters’ with Carol Humphrey, Head of Planning Services.

The Mayor and Consort attend the High Sheriff of Surrey’s Youth Awards Annual Celebration at ExxonMobil, Leatherhead.

The Mayor joins Councillor Andrew Hodges, Leader of the Council, at the Guildhall for the Tourist Information Centre Official Partnership Award Presentation. Simon Matthews, Strategic Director of Tourism South East will present the award to Guildford’s Tourist Information Centre, which has been awarded the Official Partnership status by Visit Britain.
The Official Partnership Scheme was introduced in 2007 and was devised to deliver excellence across the English tourism experience, and has been awarded in recognition of the quality and breadth of service offered by the centre in Tunsgate.

The Mayor enjoys a tour of the Parish of Seale and Sands before attending the Parish Council Meeting at 7pm.

The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Marsha Moseley, and Escort, Councillor Nigel Manning, join the Mayors and Chairmen of Surrey for a Charity Ball at Sandown Racecourse; by invitation of the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston, Councillor Ian McDonald. Proceeds from the evening will go towards the Mayor of Kingston’s Charitable Trust which aims to bring other charitable organisations together to provide new services and funds for the community.

The Deputy Mayor and Escort, Councillor Nigel Manning, join the Mayors and Chairmen of Surrey for a Charity Ball at the Orangery, Shepperton Studios; by invitation for the Mayor of Spelthorne, Councillor Caroline Spencer. The evening will have a ‘Film Night’ theme and proceeds will go towards the Mayor of Spelthorne’s chosen charities One-to-One and Guiding in Spelthorne.

The Mayor and Consort attend the Sainsbury’s Sports Relief Mile Run 2010 at the Austin Pearce Plaza, University of Surrey. The Mayor will start the first ‘wave’ of runners at 11am.

The Mayor and Consort enjoy a performance by Rock Choir at the Electric Theatre as part of this year’s Guildford Spring Music Festival.

| 7.10pm |
The Mayor and Consort attend Guildford Symphony Orchestra’s Spring Classics Concert at Charterhouse School, Godalming.
