I have lived with my family in Ash for the past twelve years and have two grown-up children. Prior to this, I lived in Horsell near Woking.
I was elected as a Conservative Councillor for the Ash, South & Tongham Ward at a by-election in July 2006 and currently serve on the council's Environment & Housing Scrutiny Committee.
I have worked in local government senior management roles over the last 30 years, including leisure, highways and environmental services. I currently undertake judging for the Civic Trust, which involves judging parks and gardens and local environmental areas for the prestigious Green Flag awards and am now also a judge for the South and South East in Bloom competitions.
Over many years, I have been a school governor and still work on the management committee of a pupil referral unit, as well as working with the Surrey Youth Offending Team.
