I was elected as a Conservative Councillor in May 1999 and represent the Ash Vale Ward.

I am currently the Deputy Mayor for Guildford.  I am a member of the Community & Health Scrutiny Committee and Planning Committee.  I also represent the Council on the Ash Manor School Joint Committee (Dual Use of Sports Facilities), Sport Guildford, Ash Citizens' Advice Bureau and the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership.

I was also re-elected as the Conservative County Councillor for Ash in June 2009.
