My wife and I live on the Loseley Estate near Guildford and our son attends Ripley Court School.

I joined the local branch of the Wandsworth Conservative party in 1981, while living in London and working for Harrods hairdressing department.  I later became Chairman of the Bedford branch of the party.

I was elected as a Ward Councillor for Shalford in 2003 and I currently serve on the Council's Planning Committee and the Environment & Housing Scrutiny Committee.

I remain in the hairdressing industry and have just opened a new salon in Madox Street, Mayfair.
