I am proud to be a councillor, having represented Onslow Ward since 1983.  A full-time mortgage broker, I am married with two adult daughters and two grandchildren.

As Mayor of Guildford in 2002/03, my Mayoral theme was 'body, mind and spirit', depicting the three main establishments in the Ward: the Royal Surrey County Hospital, University of Surrey and Cathedral.

With 22 years experience on the Planning Commitee, I have represented the Ward on numerous issues and helped many residents.  I am particularly keen to ensure that new developments are sympathetic to the local environment.

I also serve as the Chair on the Council's Community & Health Scrutiny Committee and sit on the Guildford Local Committee and represent the Council on the Court of the University of Surrey, Sport Guildford and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Management Committee  and Trust.

I am a governor of Onslow Infant School.
