The innovative Hydro Project has won a number of awards including:

• Green Apple Gold Award for the built environment and architectural heritage 2007.  The Green Apple Awards are organised by the Green Organisation who are an independent environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice.
  
  
• Institute of Civil Engineers Thames Valley Environmental Project of the Year 2007.
  
  
• Highly commended at the Sustainable Communities Awards 2007 in the tackling climate change category.
  
  
• Energy Saving Award April 2007 in conjunction with generator supplier ABB and Drives and Controls Magazine.
  
  
• Commended in the Environmental Sustainability category in the Guildford Borough Heritage and Environment Awards 2007.
  
  
• Highly commended in the public sector category at the National Energy Efficiency Awards 2007.
