Bridge Street subway, a popular pedestrian walkway that links the railway station to the centre of the gyratory system next to the YMCA building has undergone refurbishment works.

The subway surfaces were sand blasted and a new anti-graffiti paint scheme added.

Surrey County Council managed the refurbishment works with input from the Subway Working Group, which has membership from Guildford Borough Council, Surrey County Council and Surrey Police.
