Does Guildford Borough Council run the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene Course?
This is a one-day course designed for all food handlers.  The overall aim is to develop a level of understanding on the basic principals of food hygiene to enable them to improve standards and help prevent food poisoning.  The cost of our course is £75.

Do I need to register my food business with Guildford Borough Council?
Anyone starting a new food business must register with the local authority at least 28 days before doing so.  You need to fill in a form and hand it in to Environmental Health.  When you apply for registration, an Environmental Health Officer will usually contact you in order to arrange for an inspection of your premises and to discuss details with you.  For further information or to download an application form please visit Setting up a food business.
