Does Guildford Borough Council run the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) Level 2 Award in Food Safety?
Yes, this is a one-day course designed for all food handlers.  The overall aim is to develop a level of understanding on the basic principals of food hygiene to enable them to improve standards and help prevent food poisoning.  The cost of our course is £82.

Do I need to register my food business with Guildford Borough Council?
Anyone starting a new food business must register with the local authority at least 28 days before doing so.  You need to fill in a form and hand it in to us.  When you apply for registration, one of our team will usually contact you in order to arrange for an inspection of your premises and to discuss details with you.  For further information or to download an application form please visit Starting up a food business.
