We provide a service to control infestations of rats, fleas, wasps and other pests in the borough as well as the collection of sharps.
There are certain pests that we do not have the facilities to treat. We also do not remove dead rodents as routine and are unable to carry out any structural work.

Make sure when booking for a wasp treatment that you specify the correct pest. If on arrival a pre-booked wasp treatment is identified as bees we will not be able to carry out the treatment and no refunds will be given. Any wasps nest that are located more than sixteen foot (4.87m) up we may have difficulty treating. A wasp nest that is found to be higher than our equipment can reach (roughly 16ft) may require an additional charge or may result in the treatment not being possible.

- Services of a pest control officer and van per hour £70.30 including VAT.
- Sharps collection (service agreement for 6 months delivery and removal of 25 x 7cl sharps boxes) £391.50 including VAT.
- Additional sharps boxes £10.00 including VAT.
- If an extra nest is discovered at the time of appointment we will need to have the extra payment before treatment can continue.
Other charges from 1 January to 31 March 2010
- Services of a pest control officer and van per hour £71.80 including VAT.
- Sharps collection (service agreement for 6 months delivery and removal of 25 x 7cl sharps boxes) £400.00 including VAT.
- Additional sharps boxes £10.00 including VAT.
- If an extra nest is discovered at the time of appointment we will need to have the extra payment before treatment can continue.
To make an appointment
Contact the Environmental Health Department using the details below to arrange an appointment. This will be made either in the morning, 8 am to 12.30 pm or the afternoon 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm. We cannot offer timed appointments. We aim to provide you with an appointment within three working days.
Payment must be made by the day before the appointment, or the appointment will be cancelled.
Payment can be made over the phone using a debit or credit card or in person at the Environmental Health Department reception. You can also post in your payment as cheque or cash to the address below. If posting in, cheque is preferable and more secure. Please enclose a note with your name, full address and the appointment details.
