Reasons for control

  • Mole hills have uneven surface making the area unsightly and dangerous.
  • Damage to arable crops.

Biology

  • The mole (Talpa europaea)
  • They are about 12-16cm long.
  • They have black velvety hair.
  • They have large spade-like forefeet.
  • Moles are solitary animals.
  • They live underground in a series of tunnels, which they patrol looking for earthworms, their main source of food.
  • They have one litter a year between February and June.

Prevention & control
We do not treat for moles.
