Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade Fortnight Banner

Monday 22 February - Sunday 7 March 2010
This year's theme was ‘The Big Swap’.  It aimed to encourage you to swap your usual products for Fairtrade goods – your usual wine, tea or bananas for examples.  Each swap in the UK will help developing world producers to get a better deal.

A big thank you to all those who worked so hard to make Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 in Guildford Borough such a great success!

School children, local businesses, community groups and members of the public around Guildford all got involved in the annual two week event. There were opportunities not only to taste delicious Fairtrade food but also to buy Fairtrade food and crafts at the local Gala event.

With over 2000 Fairtrade certified products now available, it's easier than ever to change what you eat, drink and wear to support Fairtrade, and make a positive change today for the lives of millions of producers in developing countries.
