The Gardening for Life programme aims to promote biodiversity in your garden. By providing suitable habitats and gardening in an environmentally friendly way this will actively encourage 'flora and fauna' to thrive in local gardens. This scheme is supported by the Guildford Environmental Forum and Surrey Wildlife Trust.
The Gardening for Life pack [PDF] (1.8Mb) has information sheets on key species. If you would like a hard copy please contact the climate change team using the details listed below.
Following a local Gardening for Life survey we have put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions [PDF] (53k). Download them for hints and tips on how to garden in an environmentally friendly way.
For more information and advice on how to garden with less water please visit Thames Water - water wise (this page opens in new window).
