Following previous consultation and the advertisement of proposals in October 2005, Surrey County Council has made an order to regulate parking within the East Guildford area in order to deal with the traffic management issues caused by the parking of vehicles in various locations within the area and introduce a residents' parking scheme. These restrictions will become effective on Monday 3 April 2006.
Please find below a plan showing the proposed restrictions and a copy of the public notice detailing the general effect of the proposals:
Also note that in addition to the extension of the controlled parking zone, a number of other changes are being introduced. These are detailed on the plan above and relate to the section of Cranley Road within the existing boundary of the controlled parking zone, and a number of roads just beyond the extended boundary of the controlled parking zone, to the south of Epsom Road (namely St Omer Road, Tangier Road and Warren Road). Please find below a copy of the public notice detailing the general effect of these proposals.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the order or of any provision thereof on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling act or that a requirement of any such enabling act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks from 18 January 2006, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
