How large are the bags?
The bags are hard wearing and measure approximately 45cm x 45cm x 60cm.

What can I put in the bags?
Garden waste only, please do not include kitchen waste or animal bedding.  The bags should not be excessively heavy and as a guide if you can lift the bags comfortably to a height of 3' then so should our collection crew.

Can I buy just 1 bag?
No, unfortunately we only offer a minimum of two bags.

What happens if my bags get stolen or broken?
The bags will have a voucher which identifies them as belonging to your property so they cannot be used by anyone else.  However in the unlikely event of them breaking or being stolen we will replace them free of charge.  Please contact our Recycling Hotline, using the details at the bottom of this page, to organise replacements.

How can I get rid of my garden waste if I don’t want to join the scheme?
You can start home composting or take it to your nearest Community Recycling Centre (tip):

What happens to the service on bank holidays?
During the week of a bank holiday, collections will take place one day later than normal.  Please look out for full details of collection dates in our adverts in the local press before each bank holiday.
