Our current kerbside recycling service provides a weekly collection of the following materials:

Green box - Food tins, drink cans, aerosols, plastic bottles glass bottles and jars.

Purple box - All types of paper, including newspapers, magazines, junk mail, envelopes, office paper, directories (Yellow Pages), catalogues and cardboard. Please ensure that cardboard is broken down to fit into your purple box.
We are delighted to announce that following two successful trials, we have expanded the range of materials that you can recycle in your weekly kerbside collection scheme. Most residents are now able to recycle all of your plastic bottles and unwanted textiles through the kerbside collection scheme.

Top kerbside recycling tips
- If you are new to the borough, and don't have any recycling boxes, they can be collected, free of charge, from the Woking Road Depot. In certain circumstances we can deliver boxes, please contact us if you require assistance.
- Please leave your boxes on the kerbside by 7am on the day of your collection.
- Please bear in mind that if we can't see your boxes then we can't empty them. Please also take care not to cause any obstruction to pedestrians or vehicles.
- Do not put broken glass into your recycling box, instead wrap it in newspaper and put it in a clearly marked black refuse sack.
- Please wash out bottles, jars, tins & cans.
- For health and safety reasons, please keep your boxes clean.
- If you are elderly or infirm, please don't struggle lifting your boxes, we can help with an assisted collection.
