We are delighted to announce that following two successful trials, we are expanding the range of materials that you can recycle in your weekly kerbside collection scheme. Last year we recycled just under 33% of our rubbish and we are keen to improve on that even further. Consequently most of you will soon be able to recycle all of your plastic bottles and unwanted textiles through the kerbside collection scheme.

Between October of this year and February 2007 you will be receiving a letter informing you exactly when these new services are starting in your area. Please do not put them out for collection until you have received this letter but continue to use the banks provided by the council.

Once these new services are in place you will have an extremely comprehensive kerbside collection service and we hope that you make the very most of it by setting out ALL of your recyclables EVERY week. It really does make a difference.
