Schools environment programme


Free school assemblies

We run a series of environmentally themed assemblies for all schools in the borough, as part of our Schools Environment Programme. 

Topics include:

  • Climate change
  • Energy efficiency
  • Water conservation
  • Fairtrade

Assemblies can also be tailored to suit your school's environmental programme for learning.  Support can also be given to those schools wishing to join the Eco Schools scheme. The environmental assistant can sit on your school's eco-committee, giving advice where needed to improve the environmental credentials of your school. 

In partnership with the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre we are running drama workshops themed on the Hydro Project and renewable technologies. For more information visit our Hydro drama workshop pages.
