We own around 50% of bus shelters in the urban areas. The remainder are owned and operated on behalf of the council by Adshel, a member of the Clear Channel Communications group.
These shelters are of a modern design and the majority of them have some form of advertising incorporated.
How do I report a problem with one of these shelters?
When reporting a problem be sure to quote the location and/or the shelter number, which can be found at the front left corner of the roof.

Parish councils
Parish councils are responsible for the shelters in individual parishes. However we are normally involved in both procurement and maintenance. Any queries initially should be directed to your local parish council.

Shackleford village bus shelter is restored
Refurbishment work has recently been completed on Shackleford's most unique and distinctive bus shelter thanks to the parish council and the council.
Shackleford Parish Council commissioned the project and council staff drew up detailed specifications to restore the structure, which had suffered the effects of age and weathering.
Original materials have been replicated where possible, such as new oak, which has been spliced into the bottom of the support columns, and the work was carried out in such a way as to further enhance the conservation area.
As far as we know this shelter is unique and was acquired by the Parish Council in September 1942. Up until this time it had been part of the Hall Place estate and was transferred to the Parish by the Headmaster of Aldro School, Mr Frederick Hill. The actual date the shelter was built is not known although it is possible it was built at the same time that Sir Edgar Horne rebuilt Hall Place in 1894/96. However, it was more likely added at some time during the period up to 1940 when Mr Hill purchased the property.
