Street furniture and particularly bus shelters are prone to high levels of vandalism in Guildford. Not only is there a danger from broken glass and debris, but the young and the elderly are especially vulnerable when shelters are out of action. Additionally, with a minimum repair cost of £200, valuable resources are being drained from council tax revenues.
