We are committed to promoting sustainable transport and providing alternative travel choices for the community.

A network of cycle routes is being created in partnership with Surrey County Council.  As part of our walking and lighting strategies, we have also made a number of pedestrian improvements. Some examples of these schemes can be seen under special projects and engineering.

Three park and ride sites now serve the town.  Please visit the park and ride pages for more information. Other sites are planned, which will help to ease congestion in the town centre and reduce the pressure on parking.

Guildford is well served by public transport. Together with the county council and private operators, we are always looking to improve passenger transport services and encourage more people to use them.
