HomeBuy is a government funded programme of low cost affordable home ownership. Catalyst Housing Group is the HomeBuy agent delivering the scheme in Surrey. Applicants need to be registered with Guildford Borough Council, as well as the HomeBuy agent.

HomeBuy Direct
HomeBuy Direct is a new shared equity scheme designed to help first-time buyers into affordable home ownership. The scheme will also help participating house builders by enabling more first-time buyers to purchase their newly built properties.
The scheme will be offered on specific new build properties brought forward by developers. Buyers will be offered an equity loan of up to 30 per cent of the purchase price, co-funded by Government and the developer.

New Build HomeBuy
This initiative offers new homes on a part buy/part rent basis where you purchase a share in the property and pay a discounted rent to the Council or housing association on the remaining share. Shared Ownership re-sales also fall under the umbrella term, 'New Build HomeBuy'. For more details of this particular scheme, please visit the
