Various landlords own shared ownership properties in the borough, and all properties are allocated via the joint housing register that is managed by Guildford Borough Council.  The minimum amount that you will be required to purchase is dependent on the landlord.  If your landlord is a housing association you are likely to pay a service charge although this will include buildings insurance.

If you are in a shared ownership property with a housing association landlord, you may still apply for a transfer through the shared ownership transfer scheme through the local authority. 

Guildford Borough Council
We are landlord to 50 one bedroom flats, 36 two bedroom flats, 8 one bedroom houses, 151 two bedroom houses and 56 three bedroom houses.  It is possible to purchase a minimum of 30% of the properties and normally residents can purchase 100% in the future. 

 

Thames Valley Housing Association
This housing association is based in Twickenham.  They have a large number of shared ownership properties across the borough.  These include one and two bedroom flats and two and three bedroom houses.

A2 have a development of 16 two-bedroom and 10 one-bedroom shared ownership apartments at Markenfield Road, Guildford. 

Riverside
Riverside currently have a small scheme of two and three bedroom houses in Ripley.

Mount Green Housing Association
Mount Green Have a small development at Effingham, some of these properties are for shared ownership consisting of 2 bedroom houses and flats, some of which are for keyworkers.

Downland Affinity Housing Association
Downland Affinity currently have two and three bedroom houses for shared ownership at Stoughton and Queen Elizabeth Park.

Pavilion Housing Association
Pavilion have 20 shared ownership homes in Ash Vale.  These are a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom houses.  

Rosebery Housing Association
Located in Epsom, this landlord has 4 three bedroom houses and 6 two bedroom houses, as well as 21 two bedroom flats in Park Barn, some of which are for eligible keyworkers.

Rosemary Simmons Memorial Housing Association
Located in Esher, this landlord has a small development of 12 two bedroom apartments in the Bellfields area of Guildford.

Warden Housing Association
Warden have 26 Flats and 30 Houses for shared ownership in several locations within Guildford Borough.
