Our Care and Repair Agency offers a Handy Person Scheme, which may be able to assist you with small works to your property, if you are aged over sixty or disabled or vulnerable and live in Guildford Borough.
How much does the service cost?
A fee of £16.60 per hour (£10.80 for those on means tested benefits) plus the cost of materials, will be charged for the service. The handyperson will spend up to a maximum of two hours on site.
On completion of works you will be invoiced by the Care and Repair Agency within 28 days.
Examples of work undertaken:
- Install key safes
- Small carpentry works
- Plumbing repairs or small alterations
- Shelving
- Assemble units from DIY stores
- Any other small works
We cannot offer a same day service, but urgent works will be given priority.
