How does it work?
We can now carry out many repairs when it suits you. The Repairs team will agree a date with you when work can be started.
Although we cannot give you a specific time, you can select a slot from one of the options below that would suit you.

We cannot give specific times because the time it takes to complete a repair varies from job to job. If the repair is urgent, the earliest appointment we can offer will be for 24 hrs after the repair is reported.
We will write confirming the agreed arrangements. If you cannot keep the appointment, please call the Repairs team as soon as possible to rearrange it.
Further works
If additional work is needed to complete a repair, the tradesmen will arrange an appointment with you. He will call the Repairs team from your home and the appointment will be logged onto our computerised repairs system. You will get a letter confirming the arrangements within a couple of days.
Over-running
Often a tradesman will only know how long a repair will take once he starts the work. Sometimes it will be unavoidable that he is late for the next appointment. Emergencies can also mean he is delayed.
If we know this is likely to happen, we will try to contact you. If necessary, we will make arrangements to carry out the work at another time to suit you.
Restrictions
To allow us to offer as many appointments as possible there are some restrictions:
Very urgent repairs
We do these repairs within 4 hours or by the end of the next working day depending on how serious the problem is. As the target time is so short, it is not possible to offer an appointment unless you can wait a little longer to have the work carried out.
Days
So that our tradesmen can carry out as many repairs as possible, it may be necessary to limit the choice of days we can offer. Otherwise, much of their day can be spent driving rather than carrying out repairs.
