Sheltered housing is rented accommodation provided by the council, for older people who would like to remain independent but prefer the added security that sheltered housing offers. Sheltered housing accommodation has communal lounges, laundry facilities, disabled access showers and lifts and door entry systems. However, please note that staff do not carry out any care or domestic duties for tenants other than in Dray Court and Japonica Court, which are classified as extra care schemes.
