Guildford Borough Council Grant Aid
If you are starting or developing an arts project in Guildford Borough you can apply to us for a grant.  Grants are administered annually and the application forms are produced in the autumn, with a late in the year.  There is no specific limit to the amount you can apply for although the average grant is usually between £250-£750.  

The deadline for 2010/11 applications has now past.  For more details, or to request a hard copy of the application for, contact the Council Arts Officer using the details at the bottom of this page.

Application forms for the 2011/12 grants will be available, on request, from October 2010.

Awards for All
Community groups and schools looking to develop a project should consider applying for an Awards For All lottery grant.  The award funds projects that enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.  Grants are awarded between £300 and £10,000 and you will hear the outcome within 3 months.  The application form is straightforward and comes with guidance notes.

Grants for the Arts
Grants for the arts are provided by Arts Council England and are for individuals, arts organisations and other people who use the arts in their work.  They are for activities that benefit people in England or that help artists and arts organisations from England to carry out their work.

Creative Businesses
If you are a small creative business, you may find the Guildford 4 Business grants database useful.  Farnham Maltings now host the Creative Businesses Advisor for the South East and also provide many training and networking opportunities for small creative businesses including individual artists.
