A small slice of carnival to celebrate the Guildford Summer Festival.
This free event includes performances and workshops on samba dance and drumming, world singing and carnival arts. There will also be Fairtrade produce and information, a Summer Festival information point and an afternoon of music performances by Bloco Do Sul, Kane FM, Pineapple Tribe and Guildford Vox Community Choir.
Town Centre performances include Guildford Folkestra on the High Street at 1pm and Bloco Do Sul at approximately 3pm.
Workshops at The Electric Theatre:
Carnival Arts with Street Processions - 1-3pm (Auditorium)
World singing with Anna Tabbush - 2-3pm (Farley Room)
Samba Dance with Bloco Do Sul - 3-4pm (Auditorium)
Samba Drumming with Bloco Do Sul - 4-5pm (Auditorium)
