On Thursday 4 September, artist Anna Kirrage led a workshop for adults creating pet portraits in pastel.

The workshop, looked at drawing techniques, painting with tones, using pastels, how to mix on paper, choosing the correct colour and working from a photograph.

During demonstrations Anna gave tips on useful techniques with pastels, the importance of tones, and using highlights/darks to enliven a paintings, etc.
