Edward Sturgeon is a photographer whose main interest lies in people photography ranging from the more controlled setting of a studio to the ‘off the hoof’ style you will see here.

Although Edward's main interest still lies in producing monochrome images from a wet darkroom he also embraces the new digital technology and uses this to produce both monochrome and colour images.

He was self-taught and whilst at college undertook a degree in Graphic Design and these skills are utilised in the production of his work. He has always had a keen interest in photography but this has increased since joining the Arena Group late in 1997.

Edward has had exhibitions with Arena and other groups.  He is a keen member of two local camera clubs Eastbourne and Bexhill being Chairman of the Portrait Group for the latter.  He was awarded his Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society and hopes that his enthusiasm will enable him to win further distinctions.

Edwards has been successful in International Exhibitions and has been privileged to have prints placed in a number of private collections.
