George used to draw and paint but for many years he has expressed his feelings through photography, using colour transparencies.

He tries to extract stimulating images from the dynamic chaos of landscapes, mostly wild or rural.

He used to make Ilfochrome prints but since 1999 he has been exploiting digital technology, scanning his slides recently on a Nikon 4000ED scanner and using Adobe Photoshop to improve his images without excessive manipulation.

In the last two years he has been printing on an Epson Stylus Photo 2100 with Epson pigment inks and paper.

Photography can provide sharp and detailed pictures but the real challenge is to make images which stimulate viewers to weave their own stories around them. It is difficult to put feelings and emotions into a print, whether using digital or traditional technologies.
