Maureen Farr's love of colour and design is expressed through the use of still-life and landscapes in her paintings. She tries to incorporate both in one piece of work, often overlapping images so that the eye is taken around the surface of the paper or canvas. 

An added dimension to Maureen's work is collage which she uses in small areas to provide depth and a different feel to her work. She uses images from magazines and coloured paper which she buys, and dyes herself.
