Since Kaleidoscope last exhibited at Guildford House Gallery in 2005, Sue Roche had her photographs selected for the 'Snapping Little Britain' Exhibition at The Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham. This quirky photography open exhibition peeped behind the net curtains and explored the hidden streets to shed life on Little Britain. The exhibition reflected and captured the commonplace, mundane, touching, surreal and sometimes magical nature of everyday existence.
In January 2007, Sue Roche coordinated a photographic exhibition entitled "An Alternative View" for The Guildford Arts organisation held at Baker Tilley in Guildford.
In April 2007, Sue Roche was awarded CPAGB (The Certificate of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain).
2007 is a busy year for Sue with trips to Nice and New York, so look out for images of her travels in the Garden Room in December 2007.
Of her photography, Sue says,"I specialize in capturing alternative views of landscapes and architecture. Good light is a real inspiration, and a new environment encourages the search of something unusual.
I use mainly colour film, yet some images are recorded that have very few colours appearing almost monochromatic. My photographs are taken on 35mm film. From the negative I handprint limited edition enlargements, often cropping the image to a wide landscape, for which I choose distinctive mounts and frames.
I have undertaken a number of commissions and have received Distinctions from the City & Guilds and the Royal Photographic Society. My work has sold in galleries and exhibitions in London and the South East, and has been in print in the local and national press."
