Jim Tucker trained as a graphic designer at Reigate School of Art. His passion is for found objects and assemblage, an art form he describes as midway between painting and sculpture. Much of his work hints at a Constructivist or Bauhaus influence and his pieces ranges from minimalist to colourful whimsicality. His pieces use many different materials but all display the intrinsic beauty of the discarded and eroded, the bleached and the battered. Through the use of colour relationships, surface quality, line and form, he strives to share that beauty with us.
