For each of the major exhibitions, we will be offering free sessions for schools. Each session will include:
-
A guided tour of the exhibition
-
Sketching time in the Gallery
-
Completing worksheets (which will include quizzes and the art critic sheets)
-
Ideas for follow-up work in the classroom.
Sessions are free and the maximum group size is 30.

The Gallery has changing exhibitions throughout the year; previous exhibitions have included; work by David Hockney; work by Pablo Picasso; period costume and accessories and papier-mache sculpture. We also have our own collection of art that we show periodically. See the programme of major exhibitions to plan your visit.

We can help support local schools to deliver key aspects of the National Curriculum.
For some exhibitions we can also address aspects of Key Stage 1 & 2 History, Geography, Music etc. Please call us to discuss your individual requirements.
