Preliminary visits to Guildford House Gallery are recommended in order for teachers to gain the maximum benefit from their visit. A preliminary visit also gives the opportunity to carry out their own risk assessments, meet with staff and plan activities with the children.

It will also let the teacher gain a good understanding of the layout of the gallery and the planning for the day and prepare other staff and helpers who will be accompanying pupils on the trip. 

There will be an opportunity to try out the activities involved in the session and discuss with staff how the session can be individually tailored for the class.
