A Place of Safety: Evacuees in the Second World War
Saturday 18 July 2009 - March 2010
During World War II thousands of people, many of them children, were taken from their homes in London and evacuated to the safety of the country. Most evacuees had never been outside the city before. This fascinating exhibition looks at the history and experiences of those who came to the Guildford area.
