History of Guildford - Second Year Course

Tutor: Matthew Alexander, Curator of Local History

When: Tuesday mornings 10.00am to 12noon beginning 23 September.  10 sessions in the Autumn Term and 10 sessions in the Spring Term.

Cost of course: £90, which may be paid in two instalments at the beginning of each term. 

Matthew will be running the Level 2 History of Guildford Course after two years of running the Level 1 unit.  It is not necessary to have done Level 1 to sign up for Level 2.  In the past the Level 2 topics covered have included the following:

• Customs and Traditions
• St Catherine's
• St Martha's
• Henry Peak and Victorian Development
• Churches and Chapels
• John Russell
• Dapdune Wharf
• and many others

The topics to be covered will be decided at the first session.
