Hidden House Histories: Everyday objects and superstitious mysteries

People carrying out work on old buildings have often found objects that have been deliberately concealed in buildings. The objects found are usually clothes or shoes and are in poor condition, worn out and tattered. But they were deliberately hidden, not disposed of. Why was this done? The exhibition displayed some of the objects and explored the reasons why they might have been concealed.
