Alasdair Malloy presenter
Stephen Bell conductor
The irrepressible Alasdair Malloy is back once more for this fantastic family concert.
This time he transforms into the Mad Hatter, and you are invited to dress as characters from Alice in Wonderland or to wear your favourite hat.
Through the music you will meet Alice, encounter the Cheshire Cat as well as hearing plenty of mad, mad music including the Mad Hatter’s Maddest Musical Moment!
There will also be lots of looney limericks as the audience is invited to write their own. The best limericks will be read out with musical accompaniment from the orchestra.
There’s music by Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Strauss and Mozart. There will also be arrangements of Tea for Two, the Cuckoo Polka and the Lobster Quadrille with lots of audience participation.
